E-Portfolio: Clinical Learning Australia (CLA)

Below those you will find some details about what the CLA is and who will be using it.
What is the CLA?
A new, Australia-wide e-portfolio, for use by prevocational doctors and their supervisors.
It will be:
- Used to record, store and track assessments, including Term assessments and EPAs.
- Replacing paper assessment forms!
- Available online and via a mobile App
Who will be using the CLA?
PGY1s and PGY2s:
- To store and view an individual record of your learning
- To complete Term assessments
- To complete EPAs
Everyday Supervisors (Consultants/Registrars/Pharmacist EPA Assessors):
- To complete EPAs
Term Supervisors/Prevocational Unit Supervisors:
- To view and monitor the learning records of the prevocational doctors assigned to them (for only that term)
- To complete assessments and EPAs with prevocational doctors.
- To help structure the supervision and training of prevocational doctors on their units.
Administrators (Monash Doctors Education):
- To view and monitor the learning record and assessments for all prevocational doctors.
When do we need to start using it?
At Monash Health, all PGY1s will be using the CLA for all assessments and EPAs from Term 5 2025.
PGY2s (and the new PGY1s) will commence using the CLA from February 2026.
What do I need to do to get set up on the CLA?
1) Activate your account:
- Details will be circulated in early September 2025 regarding how to do so.
2) Familiarise yourself with the workings of the app/website
- There are a number of brief tutorial videos that CLA have produced to explain how to complete the basic tasks.
